While living in Southern Maryland in 1982, one of my very best friends, Brian Katafiaz and I decided to get back into racing in that area. So we started building and planning. The name of the new team was Pathfinder Racing. So the process began, but due to Military service that process came to a halt temporarily. However there were two good things to come about from those efforts; one was experience in marketing and the other was the names Pathfinder Chassis, and Pathfinder Racing.
In 1986 Pathfinder Chassis, and Pathfinder Racing were resurrected in 1986 during the building and racing of several cars. Below are some pictures of our current shop and some of the chassis we have built and competed with. All the chassis we have made have feature wins associated with them.
Please note that we ARE NOT the same Pathfinder Chassis company headquartered in Wisconsin. That company makes and excellent product, and I have talked to the owner, but we are not the same company as the one in Wisconsin. We have been around much longer, but we only build specialty chassis on an as build-to-order basis. We are not a production shop with a lot of product in stock.
